Ideal Mini Ramp Footage

August 31, 2008

I’ve been working on this little edit for Ideal with footage from various sessions down at the ramp since it opened.
It’s just gone live on their site, so go peep that shit son!

Boredoom

August 30, 2008

Harrison and Joel left Dan, Dave, Alex and Myself waiting at a school in Kidderminster for 4 hours whilst they went off and did some acting for a gay college project!

To pass the time, we convinced Dan to sit on his board and jump off a ledge. Here’s how it went:-

Worst Edit Ever

August 25, 2008

Comic Book Guy from The Simpsons tells it how it is. I apologize for how shit this is. I will also take this opportunity to apologize for how shit the new Gnargore video will inevitably be.

Bank Holiday Sunday

August 24, 2008

The one and only David Bailey is in town, killing time before he goes back to Liverpool Uni to become a Doctor.

We took him for a day out to Worcester. Everyone got rad and then drank some beer in the sun. All in all a quality day.
When I came home, Jellinton had spammed the shit out of my Myspace Bulletin board with news of the new ‘Le Cam’ video trailer.

I’ll forgive him though because its looking rad. Stright outta Bromsgrove! Looking forward to it lads!

Brummy Invasion

August 23, 2008

Menu, Ross and Jason came through Stourbridge and the surrounding areas and raped some spots. Then they hopped back on the Number 9 and got gone.
The End.
P.S
Another update over at http://amosplaza.wordpress.com/
Its looking so rad!

Blogroll

August 21, 2008

I put a new welcoming image up to greet you on your way through to this shitty blog. Enjoy the radness.

Wig and I have a rad brainstorming session over a couple of beers tonight and came up with the following titles for the forthcoming Gnargore video:-
Strictly Come Skateboarding
The Chronicles of Gnarnia
Stoke-a-hontis

Stoke-a-hontis reduced me to tears in the pub.

Also on the gay-dar today, good friends of ours Sam and Callum revealed to me they have their own blogs. So here’s the links to them. They’re much funnier than this waste of pixels!
Sam – http://heyjose.tumblr.com/
Callum – http://thegoodthebadandthecallum.blogspot.com
Callum and his friends have a rad D.I.Y video in the works that looks ace.

Also, this is my favorite thing on the net right now, and I want to share it with all 4 of you that read this:- http://boiltheocean.wordpress.com/

Until next time – Gnargore hates you.

Catalogue of Awesome coming soon.

New A Third Foot Catalogue

August 20, 2008

A Third Foot just bust a nut all over your face in the form of their Autumn ‘08 Catalogue! Enjoy!

A couple shiny new boards, some silly comments and even some action photographs from CJ!

As of late..

August 19, 2008

I was clearing out a few folders on my desktop when i stumbled across this photo CJ took of me dorking around at the old Stourbridge park, Ramparts.

I bumped into some of the local BMXicans in Worcester who mentioned someone had broken into the unit – all the ramps are still in there by the way. I wonder if we could rig the lights up somehow and get some session in there before the multi is demolished.

In other news, Emerica demo/session/whatever at Ideal tomorow. See you there.

Jon Trenchard just uploaded a HD video test onto the Forward Motion site.

Christian just got back from the Wednesfield Plaza and took some more photos for his blog.

Oh and the Independent tour might not be stopping off at the Ideal ramp, but some vert will be munched by the dudes over at Creation Skatepark in Mosely. Plans are sketchy at the moment, but I wouldn’t bet against a drop in session by the dudes at the Ideal ramp.

Weekend

August 19, 2008

Friday: I headed over to Birmingham with Wig and Brewer. We made it as far as the Ideal Ramp before i re-injured my neck via a whiplash incident on a front 5 fakie. Bummer. Brewer threw a tantrum, but not before Wig took a moment to contemplate how sexy he looked.

Saturday: I stayed in bed for ages because my neck hurt. Deep heat was losing its effects. Good job Setanta was showing a football match! Made Fajitas with the wench.
Sunday: Fuck the Law – Smoke the Draw. This has been my motto since I was 8. I applied copious amounts of Deep Heat to my neck, took a few paracetamol and headed outside into the mild sunshine. Met up with Tom Carr, Dan, Tim and Gaybar’s Fat Rob in Worcester.
Tom took us to some well hidden mini full pipes and we filmed some art. The trusty XM2 started chewing up tapes like a beast.
Then we took Rob to the rowing club to start filming for his Gaybar 2 ‘Dykebar’ video part.

Shit got hella epic!

PETER HEWITT’S COMING TO BIRMINGHAM

August 16, 2008

The last local (to the Birmingham area) demo that i can remember was the Toy Machine Lurk Fest last year, but before then, i cant remember a tour coming through. Black Label? Osiris? Years ago.
Birmingham was virtually wiped clean off the map for touring pro’s who zoomed straight up the motorway from London to Leeds, only stopping off at the Midlands to get a Burger King.
Well times have changed.
Within a month of Ideal Skateshop moving to Digbeth and opening up its mini ramp, 3 major things are kicking off!

Number 1 – Independent Truck Tour – Lots of rad US/UK peeps, but who cares, Peter Hewitt’s gonna be there!!!

I dont tend to fan out. Last time was Ed.T on the Toy tour, but i think i can be excused for him and Hewitt. When Koston comes to town, my life will be complete.

Number 2Emerica UK Tour – Lots of rippers. Looking forward to see Vaughn Baker on the ramp. Sidenote:- Whys it called the ‘UK Cheer Up’ tour though? I’m pretty cheerful right now thanks chaps.

Number 3 – Fallen ‘Ride the Sky’ Premier – Aside from having the gayest video title I can think of right now, I am really looking forward to this video. There hasn’t been a proper Brum prem since Krooked/This’n'That so it should be a lotta fun.

Thankyou Ideal for helping put Birmingham back on the map! All we need to do now is knock that Birmingham article out (CJ!) and we’re back on track!
